India bans import of solid plastic waste

The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climatic change (MoEFCC) in a media release stated, 'In order to strengthen the implementation of environmentally audio management of chancy waste matter in the country, the Ministry of Environment, Wood and Climate Change has amended the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management & Transboundary Motility) Rules, 2022.
